Wolf and Raven

Last week a good friend (whose favourite band happens to be Sonata Arctica) reminded me that I should do a little Sonata fanart for tomorrow’s show, too, and I actually agree. Unfortunately, I should actually be learning some lyrics know because I can’t remember them (and why the heck are The Last Amazing Grays and Flag in the Ground not in the setlist? I could sing along with those!), and even more so I should actually be translating lots of Old Greek. So this is rushed like hell. I’m surprised how well it turned out, though. Guess you can’t go wrong with blue, wolves and ravens.

Drawing ink, watercolour, lots of water, tiny bits of acrylics, and references. What else.

Oh and yes… this time I left parts white for real. For once, the scanner is only partly to blame.

Obvious music suggestion: Sonata Arctica song of your choice. Ironically, it doesn’t fit Wolf and Raven at all. (and the 2008 version is still a hundred million times better than the original! Sheesh!)

Also, no, this has absolutely nothing with Game of Thrones, and I highly doubt you will ever see me painting Game of Thrones fanart, because, well, I'm no fan.
